Ion Color Brilliance 6a-6.1 Dark Ash Blonde

I've been bleaching my hair for years now, and I've finally given up. After being a slave to root touch ups and constantly making sure I didn't get brassy, I decided to to go all natural. I had about three inches of regrowth (super gross) and it was either a waiting game or just suck it up and dye the rest.

As you can see it was pretty ugly and I could not go one more day with this hideous mess. So I went to the nearest sally's and had the woman tell me what color my regrowth, we matched it to the Ion Color Brilliance in dark ash blonde. I grabbed two boxes and a protein filler, I was super nervous, If you've ever gone from bleach blonde to brown then you know the struggle. I've done it a couple times before and have ended up with green hair every time. But I was determined so i did my research this time.

I used the protein filler, and dyed my hair. I was pretty impressed with the initial outcome. I didn't touch my regrowth and it was almost perfectly matched but about five washes in the color started fading.

So i went ahead and repeated the process again

I did end up having to go a shade darker (5a) because my regrowth is just slightly darker which is sad because i fell in love with this color.
